Straight answers and careful work, even when the right path is not the easiest one.
About the firm
A Florida-licensed CPA firm serving individuals, families, self-employed taxpayers, and businesses from Deerfield Beach across South Florida and beyond.
Our approach
Tax returns and financial statements never tell the whole story on their own. The quality of the advice depends on understanding the people, decisions, and goals behind them.
Safe Harbor Accounting is the registered DBA of CPA South Florida, PA. Florida licensing records date the firm’s CPA license to May 26, 1998, following Peter Rudolph’s individual Florida CPA licensure in 1997. That history informs a long-term approach: understand the records, explain the issue, and consider how today’s decision affects the next filing, reporting period, or business milestone.
The firm now works from Deerfield Beach with clients throughout South Florida and beyond. Technology supports collaboration across distance, but the service remains personal and grounded in the client’s actual circumstances.
Straight answers and careful work, even when the right path is not the easiest one.
Questions acknowledged, expectations clarified, and important matters kept moving.
Financial information treated with the care, discretion, and professional judgment it deserves.
Safe Harbor Accounting assists individuals and families whose returns involve wages, investments, retirement income, property, self-employment, business ownership, or important life changes. The firm also works with entrepreneurs and established businesses that need dependable bookkeeping, tax preparation, planning, payroll coordination, QuickBooks support, or help understanding their financial reports.
Some clients arrive with a specific deadline or notice. Others want a more reliable monthly accounting process or a better view of the decisions ahead. The first conversation is used to determine the actual need, whether the firm is a suitable fit, and whether another professional should participate.

Work begins by defining the question, deadline, entity or taxpayer involved, records available, and result the client needs. A focused document request follows so the engagement can be evaluated from reliable information rather than assumptions.
Before substantive work starts, the scope and responsibilities are confirmed. During the engagement, missing information and important decisions are identified directly. At completion, the client receives the agreed return, report, analysis, or action list together with an explanation of open items and relevant next dates.
Questions are easier to resolve when everyone knows what information is still needed, which deadlines control the work, and who is responsible for the next step. Safe Harbor Accounting emphasizes plain-language explanations and organized follow-up so clients can understand why a recommendation is being made.
Tax, accounting, legal, investment, insurance, payroll, lending, and valuation questions can overlap. When an issue belongs outside the agreed CPA scope, the firm identifies the need for an attorney, licensed investment adviser, payroll provider, lender, appraiser, or another qualified professional rather than presenting one discipline as a substitute for another.
Tax returns, identity documents, payroll records, bank information, and financial statements require more protection than ordinary correspondence. Clients should not send Social Security numbers, tax documents, or other sensitive records through ordinary email.
Call the office before transmitting sensitive information. Clients should also verify unexpected requests for records, payments, credentials, or account access before responding.
